One of the easiest ways to improve the performance on a turbocharged vehicle is adding a performance intake system. The reason being, is that the factory intake system is highly restrictive, and prevents the turbocharger from breathing to its full potential. Mishimoto has resolved this issue with their Performance Air Intake System.
This intake features an aluminum pipe designed with smooth bends to reduce air turbulence under throttle. This promotes improvements in throttle response, reduced turbo lag, and increases in both horsepower and torque. Other features include a performance intake that is basically protected by an aluminum box designed to fit in the stock location while shielding the filter from engine heat.
The piping, as well as the box will come powder-coated in a textured black finish for extra protection against rust and corrosion, and to provide a cleaner look to the engine bay.
A silicone coupler, worm clamps, and hardware for the box are included to make this intake ready for installation.
